Card reader
Proximity device used to present a card for access to personnel. These can be suited to operate from a card, token, mobile app, NFC or suitable electronic device.
Wireless locks
Battery powered devices, wirelessly connected to a system to offer control to bespoke doors, locker arrangements, concierge services or temporary applications.
Electronic door locks/mag locks/magnetic locks
Electrically powered locking devices fitted to doors, controlled to allow access to authorised users only.
Card swipe
A user card designed to allow access through a door/gate/barrier.
Biometric technology
A user’s privileges for access form a physical part of them, for example a fingerprint or facial recognition.
PIN operation
Users can access through a keypad arrangement, using a common or individual code arrangement. For higher security operations a user may need a card, biometric and a PIN.
User control
Determine where and when a user can access allocated areas. Easily change or bar a user should a card be mislaid.
Electronic/electric gate/barrier
- A physical gate or barrier to prevent access to a property/driveway/secure area/car park.
Turnstile access
A device used to control access to a secure building/area
ANPR
Used in conjunction with a gate or battier system can allow access to preauthorised users, such as a car park
Integration
Configuration with other suitable systems/devices including lighting systems - to reduce power consumption when areas are vacant, intruder alarm systems – to arm and disarm systems automatically, elevator control – to automatically ‘call’ a lift assigned to the correct floor.
Audit trail
A user or door can be selected for audit, allowing a historical report of movements to be generated.
CCTV
Used in conjunction with an access system to monitor door operations, record access denials, visually check card users.
PC Based
A software package installed to a local/network server/device – this platform is used to control and monitor access throughout a secure area/site.
Emergency role call
In the event of an emergency/fire alarm activation, a list of persons on site can be recalled. This can be tailored to suit first-aiders, fire marshals, fire trained personnel.
Visitor management
Automated sign in for visitors, ensuring local business protocols are accepted prior to admittance to site (health and safety/site rules).
Attendance reporting
Output reports to third party software, such as payroll, allowing attendance, overtime, etc to be automatically processed.
